This week’s message is from Matthew 20: 1-16 and the parable of the laborers in the vineyard. Jesus tells the story of a landowner who went out early one morning to hire laborers to work in his vineyard. He hires them at a denarius for the day and then sends them into the vineyard. He then, around noon he hires another group of workers for the same wage and repeats this same task two more times offering the same wage to the laborers that was offered at the early morning hiring. The end of the day comes and the landowner holds up his end of the bargain and some of those hired are furious and believe they have been treated unfairly. The sermon title is: “It’s Not Fair! And Aren’t We Glad!”Come and hear how this interesting story plays out. You don’t want to miss this one!
Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, TX is a casual dress, coffee drinking, all are welcome congregation. We welcome all who come through our doors. We have returned to our regular hours of 9:00 Sunday School for all ages followed by Worship at 10:00. Communion is served and all are welcome at the Lord’s Table of grace, mercy and forgiveness.
