Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! I want to tell you about our Fall Festival! It will be held in our parking lot at Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, TX., this Sunday October 25 from 1:00-5:00, 4895 E. Hwy, 199. Free will donations. No mandatory booth charges. There will be a lot of things to do; cake walk, food venders, face painting and booths for all ages. Come one! Come all to the best Fall festival in town!! You will have a fantastic time!
This Sunday is Reformation Sunday. This is the day in which we remember in 1517 that Martin Luther, monk and professor, nailed the famous 95 Theses on the All Saint’s Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. He wrote this document to challenge the Catholic Church about the selling of indulgences. Brother Martin sought to engage the Catholic Church in a debate about church reform. I am going to preach on this topic this Sunday. The traditional color for this Sunday is red. So, wear your red shirts, red shoes, red boots or red dresses. The color red is to symbolize the work of the Holy Spirit. You need to be here this Sunday. It is going to be a great day and if you stay a bit longer, you can attend our Fall Festival!
