Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! WE GOT A BIT OF RAIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON! PRAISE GOD!! It wasn’t a lot, but every little bit helps. Okay! It’s time to get back to regular worship time. Beginning this Sunday, September 13th, Sunday School will resume at 9:00-9:45 and Worship will begin at 10:00. Set your clocks to meet for Sunday School for all ages and worship at regular times. We hope to see you there. Remember…all are welcome!
This week the scripture lesson is Matthew 18: 21-35. It’s all about forgiveness. Forgiveness is not just seven times, but 7 times 70, which equals 490 times. This is the parable of The Unforgiving Servant. The servant has been forgiven a huge debt by his master. But when the servant does not forgive a much smaller debt and sends the debtor to prison until he can pay the debt, things do not bode well for him. The title of this message is Forgiveness Doesn’t Count. Come and worship with us and see how this difficult parable plays out.
This Tuesday, September 15, at 10:00 until we finish, we will be filling Blessing Bags. Blessing Bags bags filled with non perishable food, water, fruit juice, personal hygiene items, socks and bandanas. These are given to homeless shelters and anyone in need. We could really use anyone who can come and help to sort the items, fill the bags, tape the bags shut and then deliver them to Center of Hope in Springtown, Center of Hope in Azle and to anyone who needs some extra help. And it is a lot of fun! Hope to see you there.

Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, Texas is a casual dress, all are welcome, coffee drinking bunch. We practice open communion and all are welcome at the Table of grace, mercy and forgiveness. Soooo…
