Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! I hope you are all somewhere drinking some wonderful iced tea, lemonade or coffee (must have coffee!) and making plans for a wonderful 4th of July celebration! Speaking of 4th of July…this year the 4th falls on the first Saturday of the month. That means that it is Burrito Breakfast time! You can find the best burritos in town that are freshmade here at Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, TX. Each burrito is made with sausage, eggs, cheese and salsa and we make veggie burritos (no meat). So you have a choice. We serve these delicious burritos with your choice or coffee, juice or both! But mostly they are made and served with a smile and a whole lot of love! There is no charge for these delicious delights, but donations are always welcome. Come by the church between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 am unless we run out before then. And I have to tell you that we have been running out before 10:00 the last few Saturdays. We would love to see you!
This week’s message is from the book of Mathew 11: 16-19, 25-30. Jesus is sort of fussing at his audience. His audience is pretty unsatisfied with the way things are going and Jesus calls them out on it. I have titled this sermon “Did You Hear the One About Goldilocks and the Porridge?” You don’t want to miss this message!
