HOPE IS ALIVE! – June 26, 2026

Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! It’s a hot Friday afternoon. The AC is working for which I am very thankful and there is a fan also blowing. I hope this writing finds you in a place where the AC is cooling where you are as well.

This week’s message is one that is interesting. It is Matthew 10: 40-42. You would think that these verses would be a bit easier to understand than the last two weeks’ passages from Matthew. When you read them it’s only three verses. But they are three verses that take some time to figure out what Jesus wants us to learn. These verses take place when Jesus sent out his apostles to their first missionary journey. They are asked to take nothing with them and to be completely dependent on God’s providence for their food, shelter and clothing if necessary. Ain’t nothing easy about these three verses. Come and find out what Jesus means for us to learn about being fully reliant on God. Worship begins at 9:00!

See you Sunday! Love ya’!
