Good morning everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! It’s early on Friday morning and I am sitting at my dinner table- AKA my office – listening to the thunder roll and the rain falling. These are sounds I really love because it tells me one more time that God shows us He is still watching out for His creation with His blessing.

This week scripture takes us down a really hard road. Jesus says, “I have not come to bring peace but a sword.” I find it interesting that in our worship each week we greet each other with “The Peace of the Lord be with you always.” How do we reconcile these two statements? It was an interesting study this week. My sermon title is, “Jesus the Disturber.” So, why don’t you come to worship before you begin the Father’s Day celebrations. Come as you are. Come in your shorts, BBQ t-shirts and sandals and start your day with worship and the Lord’s Supper. Our summer worship begins at 9:00 here at Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, Texas. We have a new sign close to the road and a giant cross on the wall outside the church house facing the highway. We would love to see you!
We are a coffee drinking, come as you are congregation. We welcome all who come through our doors. So come and start your day with worship and then the rest of the day belongs to you! It doesn’t get any better than that. Just remember worship starts at 9:00 and the coffee pot will be hot!
Come and see.
Come as you are.
Come and worship.
Come and fellowship.
See you Sunday.
Grace and peacefuls,
PGC (Pastor Gaylene Chrystie)
