Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! I hope you are all well and if you are a Mom I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I certainly did. I was treated to two celebratory Mother’s Day lunches with my amazing family including the grands! I am so very blessed.
This Sunday we are going to explore one of scripture’s hardest passages. John 17: 1-11 is the High Priestly Prayer. This prayer is spoken by Jesus on Maundy Thursday evening in the presence of the disciples. Jesus offered up the prayer to God the Father after The Last Supper and before his arrest. Jesus prays this prayer as the Disciples listen and try to discern the difference between glory and glorify not in earthly terms, but in the way Jesus shows us the difference between glory and glorify as He teaches. I hope to see many of you in worship this week so you can (hopefully) learn about glory/ glorify and glory/glorify!?

If there are those of you who are not Lutheran or would like a refresher on the Lutheran faith, there is going to be a class upcoming led by Parish Lay Minister, Les Bottke. It is going to be a great class held here at Hope Lutheran in Springtown. More details as they happen.
