Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here.
I hope this writing finds you all warm and thawing from the icy winter weather we have just experienced. Hope Lutheran Church will be open for business this Sunday. Live and in person! This will be the first Sunday of the month which means that we will be having our first Sunday Potluck Lunch following worship. Everyone is welcome. Bring a dish to share or just bring yourself and be a part of a wonderful lunch and great fellowship.
This week’s message takes us to one of the most well known passages in scripture; The Sermon on the Mount and “The Blesseds,” beginning with “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” There are nine of these “Blesseds” beginning in Matthew 5: 1-12. If you cut to the chase Jesus is preaching these blueprints for our lives lived in faith. Jesus teaches us these beautiful words throughout his life. Come and discover just how Jesus teaches these ancient words to us in 2026.
Hope Lutheran in Springtown, Texas is a friendly, casual dress, coffee drinking church that welcomes all who come through our doors. We would love to see you this Sunday. It may be cold outside, but it will be warm and welcoming inside.
Sunday Schedule
9:00-9:45 Sunday School for all ages
10:00-11:15(ish) Worship with communion. All are welcome at the Lord’s table of grace, mercy and forgiveness.
11:30(ish) Potluck following worship. Stay and eat and fellowship.
Come and worship. Come and fellowship. Come and eat, for the table is set and there is room for you .
