HOPE IS ALIVE!

Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here.

I hope you all are well and are recovering from Easter candy, those nasty Peeps and secure in the knowledge that at Christmas you will still be vacuuming easter grass!

This week’s message is a bit different.  Jesus has been crucified and resurrected. Two of Jesus’ followers decide it is time to leave Jerusalem and begin the seven mile journey to the village of Emmaus. Soon they are joined by a stranger. Cleopas and his companion and the stranger begin a conversation. They talk about the things that recently happened in Jerusalem. They are both completely overwhelmed with grief and sadness. But the longer the stranger is with them the more their hearts are burning within them. Why what was happening? Why was it happening?  They continue their journey to Emmaus…come and hear what happened on that road to Emmaus.

Sunday Schedule

  • 9:00-9:45 Sunday School for all ages.
  • 10:00-11:15(ish) Worship with Communion. All are welcome at the Table of Grace, Mercy and forgiveness.  And there will be a baptism and receiving of a new member into our congregation!
  • Church Council Meeting to follow worship.

If you are looking for a new church home come and visit us at Hope Lutheran Church in Springtown, Texas. We are a casual dress, coffee drinking bunch who love nothing more than to welcome all who walk through our doors.  Come and see, come and fellowship and come and worship.

See you Sunday!
Grace and pieces,
PGC (Pastor Gaylene Chrystie)
