Hi! Pastor Gaylene here!
I hope each of you reading this are inside where it is warm! Gotta give it to Texas weather. Just a few days ago we were experiencing fall weather. And this week, winter fell on us. So unpack your sweaters and jackets, warm socks and boots and enjoy this early winter and come to worship with us!
This week’s message is about one of my favorite Biblical characters; John the Baptizer. I call him John the Baptizer because that is his calling by God to baptize folks in water, in this case the Jordan River for their repentance. John is an interesting character in his camel hair tunic and eats a weird diet of locust and honey. He could have been the first vegan! When John the Baptizer comes on the scene he comes out of the wilderness and prepares the Israelites for the coming of Jesus. He came into this world with a specific purpose; to tell people about Jesus. Come Sunday and prepare to come out of the wilderness and hear what John has to say to us.

This Sunday is our famous POTLUCK SUNDAY. Bring a dish to share or just come and eat from the table for there is always enough.
