October 12 PET BLESSING SUNDAY. Bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, goldfish, birds, iguanas etc..just NOTHING THAT SLITHERS. All pets must be on leashes, crates, bowls or cages. This is always a fun day.
October 19 PINK OUT SUNDAY Wear pink for those who have survived, those who are still in the battle and those who have gone on to glory. There will be small gifts and refreshments.
October 26 Reformation Sunday. WEAR RED! It is the birthday of the Lutheran Church and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. The anniversary of Martin Luther nailing the 95 Theses on the door of the Castle Church (All Saints’ Church) in Wittenberg, Germany and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
This Sunday’s message is the story of the 10 Lepers who meet Jesus going down the road. They shout to Jesus “Lord, have mercy on us!” They appear to know that Jesus can heal them and Jesus heals them. The lepers, after being healed, run down the road to go and show themselves to the priest. But one (and only one) of the lepers returns to say “thank you,” to Jesus. Jesus is so touched by the man’s gratitude that Jesus does far more than just heal him. Come and find out the power of gratitude and how much Jesus welcomes it. It’s going to be a great Sunday.
9:00–9:45 Sunday School for all ages.
10:00–11:15 (ish) Worship with communion. All are welcome at the table of grace, mercy, forgiveness and love.
