Celebration of Life – Karen Burdack

The community of Hope Lutheran Church warmly invites you to celebrate the vibrant life and faith of our beloved sister in Christ, Karen Burdack.

Karen lived an extraordinary life defined by courage, intellect, and grace. A graduate of Gettysburg College and Fordham Law, with executive coursework at Harvard, she was a distinguished international attorney whose work spanned admiralty law, antitrust, and Western Hemisphere leadership for a major healthcare enterprise. A seasoned world traveler who famously survived gunfire overseas, she proved that though she checked in at only five feet tall, nothing in this world could ever daunt her.

In retirement, Karen brought that same adventurous spirit to Texas, trading corporate boardrooms for ranching and supplying local restaurants. To our church and the Azle community, she was a faithful servant, a dedicated volunteer, a wise confidante, and a radiant soul known for her sparkling smile and devilishly dry wit.

Please join us to give thanks for the blessing of Karen’s life:
