Annual Blessing of the Backpacks

As a new school year begins, we want to surround our students, teachers, and school staff with prayer, support, and God’s love!

During worship, all students—from preschool to college—along with teachers and administrators, are invited to bring their backpacks or bags and step forward to the front of the sanctuary. Together, we will hold a special Blessing of the Backpacks to pray for:

• Safety & Protection: God’s loving care over our school environments and daily travels.
• Knowledge & Wisdom: A fruitful year of learning, growth, and curiosity.
• Peace & Joy: Encouragement and strong friendships throughout the school year.

Whether you’re starting your very first day of school or heading off to college, we encourage everyone to join us and receive this special blessing as we kick off the new academic year together!

All are welcome—don’t forget to bring your backpack!
