Good evening! Blessed Good Friday to you all. I think today I will begin with the schedule for the rest of the week.
Friday (Today) 8:00 Good Friday Worship Service also known as the Service of Darkness.
Saturday April 4 from 8:00-10:00 Burrito Breakfast
Sunday April 5
7:00 Easter Sunrise service. This service will take place in the parking lot of Hope Lutheran church. Communion will be served. The message will explore Matthew 28: 1-10, titled “All is Well.” Bring a blanket.
8:00 Breakfast will be served.
9:00 Easter Egg Hunt
10:00 Easter Worship. Communion will be served. Come as you are. All are welcome at the table of grace, mercy and forgiveness.
The message this morning will reflect on John 20: 1-18 titled “But Mary Went Back to the Tomb.” Mary went to the tomb on that first Easter morning and found it empty and the stone rolled away. Thinking that someone had moved the body of Jesus. She runs back into town to tell the Disciples. They ran to the tomb and discovered the same as Mary, that the tomb was empty and the stone rolled away. Later in the story Mary goes back for a second look…Come and see what Mary saw on her “second look.”
Come and see. Come and find why Mary went back to the tomb. Come and eat the bread and the wine. Come and fellowship. You are welcome here. See you Sunday.
